I caught a 3.7 lb. bass a few days ago. I caught it at the ponds across the highway from my house. I caught it on a green pumpkin Senko worm (weedless/weightless).
The Spring has been good to me in the ponds in the neighborhood. I usually only go for an hour or so, and have been catching at least a couple of bass each time. On this day, I probably fished for a couple of hours, so the bite was slow, but I caught two decent size bass, along with a bluegill….and a turtle. This was on Monday 4/20/2026. I actually fished for a few minutes on my lunch break earlier in the day at North Lake, which is a small lake really close to my work. I caught a nice size bass there as well. It was 3.5 lbs.
