GROUND COMBAT VEHICLES

The CM-4012-F0-MIL Gigabit Ethernet Switch is specifically designed to operate reliably in the harsh, noisy and electrically demanding environments of ground combat vehicle applications, such as under extreme shock and vibration, in wide temperatures, humidity, with dust and water exposure, noisy EMI, and dirty power.

Our rugged, modular, fully managed product was selected by General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada for use in the Canadian Armoured Combat Support Vehicle (ACSV) which reinforces our commitment to providing advanced time synchronization solutions for high-speed military ground vehicle Vetronics and C5ISR applications.

The CM-4012F0 12-port Layer2+ GbE switch features two (2) 55-pin Shell Size 17 MIL-DTL-38999 III connectors, each holding six (6) GbE ports and one (1) 5-pin Shell Size 11 MIL-DTL-38999 III power connector, providing dual power input capability. This latest powerful addition to the CM-4000 Series, combines the requirement for small size, weight, power consumption, and cost (SWaP-C) optimization (2 lbs. weight / 10 Watt power consumption), with GbE connectivity and the latest MIL-STD 1275E power requirements for military ground vehicle use, and it further addresses the need for MIL-DTL-38999 connectors. The CM-4012F0 is available in MIL and AER versions addressing all the unique requirements of ground vehicle (MIL-STD-1275E) and airborne (MIL-STD-704) applications. The CM-4012 is qualified to temperatures of -55.. +85C(*), 85.000ft altitude and provides 250ms hold-over capability.

TEST FLIGHT AIRCRAFT

Test Flight aircraft are critical for any aircraft program as they make sure that the aircraft and subsystems perform up to the customer requirements. Each test flight can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in time and money which makes it even more important to make sure you have the correct solutions from the small Grandmaster Clock used outside of the airframe (rotor) to the rugged TAP that allows a one-way data flow to the recorder. In high-data applications, the aircraft might need several switches with varying ports counts and a need for up to a 10G copper Ethernet backbone.

Our fully rugged CM-6200 and CM-4000 series easily communicates with any Data Acquisition System, allowing you to choose the best products for the application at hand, and not just what comes with an all–in–one solution. Used in flight test, the platform provides a powerful set of networking features optimized for both aircraft and military systems applications, including 1G and 10G copper ports, Grandmaster Clock support, support for IPv4 multicast traffic filtering according to static filters or IGMP snooping, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), port control (speed / mode / statistics, flow control), Quality of Service (QoS) traffic prioritization, Link Aggregation (802.3ad), SNMPv/1/v2/v3 management, secure authentication (802.1X, ACLs, Web/CLI), redundancy (RSTP/MSTP) and port mirroring. To enhance reliability, the unit features military temperature grade components, an isolated power supply that protects against voltage surges, spikes and transients and no moving parts.

Airborne ISR Mission Aircraft

The CR-6228 28-Port GbE/10GbE Switch and Router is specifically designed to provide core capabilities for the secure and highly interoperable digital network systems in the aerospace and defense industries. The modular, rugged design supports high-performance connectivity in harsh environments with size, weight and power (SWaP) constraints, such as high altitude, extreme shock and vibration, extended temperatures, humidity, dust and water exposure, noisy EMI, and dirty power, enabling secure managed network routing and GbE switching capabilities for onboard communications and computing subsystems.

After extensive testing, our ultra-rugged airborne switch and router was selected by Airbus for their A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) mission network system. Achieving high-speed 10GbE copper connectivity onboard mission aircraft can dramatically enhance vehicle communication, networking, and sensor integration for mission capability and critical decision-making. The CR-6228 helps the MRTT platform improve situational awareness and network-centric operations for demanding applications in Command, Control, Communications Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Search and Rescue (SAR) missions.

The high-performance CR-6228 Series is designed to provide an intelligent switch and software router system for airborne tactical networks in a fully rugged, conduction-cooled, IP68 sealed system, operating from -40°C to +71°C. The integrated GbE/10GbE switch provides a total of 28 Ethernet ports, of which 24 ports are 10/100/1000 BASE-T ports and 4 ports are 10/100/1000 BASE-T or SR. The router and gateway support copper and optical interfaces. With its modular and highly configurable architecture, the unit can be tailored to specific client needs, to provide highly secure data, voice, and video communications to stationary and mobile network nodes across wired and wireless links. Its modular, rugged design, enclosed in a completely sealed housing against dust and water ingress (IP68), requires no active cooling and provides MIL-DTL-38999 connectors. The unit features a military-grade power supply for aircraft (MIL-STD-704F) use, as well as MIL-STD-461F EMI/EMC filtering.

Missile Defense

The CloudberryMIL CR-6900 Series Gigabit Ethernet Switch, Router and GPS Time Server platform has been designed from the ground up to perform in the harshest environments providing reliable connectivity for land, air and sea mission-critical defense applications. With up to 48 GbE ports and 4 10GbE ports, the CR-6900 provides the right mix of performance and scalability to meet the demanding requirements of today’s aerospace and military industries.

Our rugged, high-performance system was selected by sensor solutions specialist HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH to provide its military-grade, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) with a solution for a mobile and all-terrain ground-based Target Acquisition Radar System (TRML).  The HENSOLDT Mobile Air Surveillance and Defense Radar System is part of a larger deployable air defense system provided by several major defense systems companies, with the primary mission for rapid response, high precision and highly mobile detection and tracking of targets. The radar system is based on the latest AESA radar technology (AESA = Active Electronically Scanned Array) for short and medium-range detection and air defense.

Today’s military and aerospace networking solutions need to be innovative and highly reliable. The Cloudberry CR-6900 19” 1U Series is a COTS fully-managed Layer 2/3 Ethernet switch with an embedded Router and GPS time server capability (IEEE 1588 PTP, NTP, IRIG, 1PPS, 10MHz), in a rugged housing. It is specifically designed to provide reliable, high-performance connectivity for extremely demanding size, weight and power (SWaP) constraints in harsh environmental conditions as well as highly accurate time and frequency, derived from GNSS satellites for legacy and IP-connected devices in parallel. The system offers an unmatched flexibility and scalability so that the user can have the desired configuration in one unit at the heart of the new Air Defense solution, which will be deployed on fixed and mobile ground platforms.
